Post by cartographer_x »

Hello to all. I just found this site and need some info.
I Run an indoor pistol league in Chester, NH. We shoot 22 bullseye etc.
I would like to know where I can find the rules and regulations for the olympic shooting of 22 cal. And... who in the USA is the sanctioning association.
thanks

The International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) has their International rules at their web site at Official Statutes Rules and Regulations in .pdf form. The national governing body is USA Shooting.

Try USA Shooting---USAS---they can send you rules for all international events---However, I would try the NRA first as they publish an "International Pistol Rules" book. Between the two you can get the rules for Standard Pistol, Center Fire, Women's Sport Pistol,Air & Free pistol. The Olympic Rapid Fire is undergoing radical changes after 2004 so that's way up in the air.

The NRA booklet for international events, although not official for will give you the quick and dirty and will work for events that are not sanctioned, such as informal leagues. The difference is $15 and 20#. It will serve you unless you are runing a USA Shooting sanctioned event.
