I thought this might be interesting - I have ended up owning both an Air and CO2 version of the same era LP10. I remember reading a comment on the forum that the CO2 version was a bit of a rare beast. I wasn't really intending to own 2 x LP10's, but a CO2 one came up at a bargain price, so it had to be done...

Basically identical except for the regulator - you can see why the conversion kit is a super easy change on this pistol. They're essentially the same pistol.

That's a nice pair! I like the fact, too, that switching between the two systems is so easy.
My old club had a few LP1s, with some being CO2 and some being air. We had a scuba tank and CO2 tanks. Doing fills with air was super easy. On the other hand, the air version LP1s gave occasional problems. Suddenly there'd be a weird velocity swing and POI would drastically change. I remember repeatedly having to replace the pesky little plunger (basically a metal wire and green plastic gasket) and thinking what a cheesy part it was.
No such trouble with the CO2 versions.
