I have a friend looking for a 5 Meter BB Gun program near Des Moines Iowa.

Contact the Jaycees.They have a program. Also, check with Daisy Co. to see if they know of anything in the area. Don in Oregon.

In my state, the 4H Clubs run co-ed 5M BB training and competitions starting in Jan.
Cub Scouts also allow BB guns, and have facilities for shooting sports. Obviously, it's not a full-time activity.
My kid loved BB rifling both ways. You can probably find plans on the web for a BB backstop (a cardboard box and towel) and with that you can practice indoors at home.
