FWB 100 problems

Post by Azmodan »

Hi
i;m having problems with my newly bought FWB100 (from egun.de).
When i got it everything was OK. After 100 pellets (and some dry-firing) it started to not eject all the compressed air on trigger pull (when opening the pump lever air would escape, or if i cocked the gun manually, a second burst of air would come out without pumping) and the pellet flies visibly slower.

I read that the number 9 screw controlled the striker spring, so i screwed it in a bit. That solved the problem for a few shots, than the problem reappeared.
Now i got to the end of the screw length (no more travel space) and the gun still manifests the same problem.
If i leave it alone for some time (~15 minutes) i can get a couple of correct shots and after the problem reappears.

what could be the problem? the striker spring? the valve? the seals?

thank you

I would first put in a new striker spring...…..quick, easy, and cheap.

in the end it was just the valve seal. i replaced 1750.214.1 and 1750.215.1 and now it works perfectly.

odd behavior for an old seal (to not expel all the compressed air), but apparently it is the normal symptom for this issue.

this is the risk of buying 25 years old guns. the pump lever broke (piece 1840.139.1) after ~2000 shots

The college team I help coach has had three IZH's break part of the pump linkage in a very similar location & fashion. The IZH parts look a bit less rugged than the FWB part, but the repair experts I spoke with all swore they'd never seen one snap before. The two pins that hold the linkage part are swaged in place. I managed to locate the 3 linkage pieces we needed, but only 4 pins. I have to machine a couple from scratch and then rig up a swaging system to install them. So far so good...

got the replacement piece. disassembled the pistol and found out another piece was broken too (part of the piston)- luckily i ordered that piece too (ordered all small pieces under 5$ - just to be safe and not pay shipment for small amounts :) )
after some time figuring how to do it, managed to replace the all the broken parts.

Glad to hear you got everything sorted out. By the way, where do you get your parts?

payment is a bit problematic. they use some unsafe payment processor (chrome protested when i tried to open their page) or bank transfer via SEPA - that is not available outside EU
