I was recently browsing reddit and found a thread about Speer selling bullets direct. I visited their website, and low and behold they were selling bullets. I checked to see if the 32 wadcutter was available, and the site indicated it was. I ordered a couple of boxes, and have gotten the notification that they are shipping out today.

If you are looking for 32 wadcutters from Speer, they are available direct: https://www.speer-ammo.com/

Best,
Chase

.32 wadcutters available, at $87.95, in the "european" diameter .314".
The webpage tells $ 87.95 is for a quantity of 1000. But, the same page also states that is for a "bulk pack" of 500.
I think $ 87.95 is for a quantity of 1000, though.

Greetings,

The Speer bullets will average 0.312"-0.313". Never found one of the new ones that measure 0.314".

Cheers,

Dave

Strange that is. The Speer web-page states the bullet diameter is 0.314". So why, if the real bullet diameter is different from 0.314" ?

I guess that's why they're HBWCs.

$89.95 for 1000 is about 30% higher than what what Dillon and others sell them for. They have gotten pretty popular recently so many suppliers occasionally out of stock,

As Dave indicated they measure .3123-,313, but even in the .314 barrels common in Euro 32s they are still pretty accurate at 25y.

Just FYI I called Speer and asked about the measurement. They said they would follow up😀

It's funny, I opened a box and mic'ed a couple and came up with .314 at the base? Probably just rattled around in the box and got dinged.

I only spent 20 bucks more for two boxes than what I could get it from Dillon for right then ("free" v. paid shipping), didn't know Dillon had them back in stock. Nice to have multiple sources of things.

Oh, and ITT: yes, these are boxes of 1000 bullets.

Load'em up!

Thanks,
Chase

The Speer 4600 bullets I bought measure .3125 to .313. I emailed Speer questioning why when they are advertised / labeled as .314. Their reply was a true .314 would be too large to safely shoot in an American made firearm. So I replied back suggesting they change labeling and call them what they are .313. I also suggested they make another bullet just like the 4600, but in an actual .314, or better yet a .3145 for use in European pistols. They did not reply, therefore I can only assume, they do not care.

Greetings,

Interesting report.

Here is a scan of a Speer test regarding bullets of different diameters and resultant pressures.

Must be a difference between Semi-jacketed and Lead bullets...
