Federal Ultra Match at Champion Shooter Supply

I'm curious if anyone has experimented with this ammo. I just noticed it.
Made in Germany, and 1080 fps kind of sounds like RWS.

Yes it's made in Germany by RWS, probably as R50.

That, or it's really old. I bought a case of Federal Ultra Match about 15 years ago, but it was $12/box back then. It was discontinued a long time ago. It was supposedly what Federal supplied to the US Olympic team.

the old UM1 with the dimpled case was made in the US. The OP asked about the newer German-made product.

In an effort to confuse and fleece shooters RWS is making an ammo packaged as Federal Ultra Match. It is NOT the same ammo as the Federal Ultra Match from the 90's. It's not even R 50 quality. If it was it wouldn't be selling for $6.95 a box. I just sold some of the old Federal for $13 a box. Don't get taken to the cleaners. If it was great match ammo it would be priced like great match ammo.
