Walther GSP Expert 0.32 Magazine Catch

Has anyone had trouble with this? A club member has a problem with the catch disengaging and the magazine dropping a few mm on a regular basis.
Also, how hard is it to remove and refit the catch? The coil spring seems to be under a good deal of load.
