Anyone flown Air France with pistols lately?

I'm headed for the World Muzzle-Loading Championships in September, and am currently flying Air France from the US to Spain. Has anyone flown Air France with firearms lately? Pistols, in particular? The last time I flew with them was in 2006, and they were reasonable then...but one can never tell with airlines. Thanks.
