Mystery Front globe sight

Post by Madmox »

Does anyone have any idea what type of front globe sight this is? It looks like a Redfield but isn't stamped on top. I am trying to figure out what knob and insert I need for it.
Thanks.

It looks like a Parker Hale front sight.

Before I got past the images I had also thought Parker Hale. Or possibly, but less likely Alfred J Parker (AJP) who make sights in Birmingham England that are very similar in design to the Parker Hale sights.

It look like it is the standard M18 size as far a inserts go. The i.d. of the tube thread would be around 16mm if that were the case. PH did make a much smaller tunnel but I don't think that is one of them. At a guess I would think it is designed to fit on the dovetail of a BSA Martini International.
