Air cylinder weights?

Post by schauckis »

Hi,

Does anyone have the cylinder weights of the Steyr LP2 (standard and compact), and Morini CM162 (long and short cylinder), please?
I take it the short cylinder of the Morini will fit the full length pistol?

How many shots do you get out of a short air cylinder?

Hi Yes the short Morini cylinder will fit the standard Morini. I get 105 shots from my short, but that may not be the full 200 bar.
I have a set of weights that attaches to the regulator, that I don't use, I could sell. I will work out a price if interested.

For weights, cut the end off a plastic 35mm film cannister (of course in this digital age they are hard to find but a film processing lab will have some lying around) Attach a sticky backed lead wheel weight or two and slide it over the barrel. (I think they come in 5 and 10 gram sizes)
It works well on my Morini and I think most cylinders are the same.
This home made weight had the advantage of being able to just slide forward or back.
I usually have my weight in the middle of the cylinder but if I am particularly shaky I move it right forward which seems to help.
Cheers Colin

I think schauckis actually wants to know how much the various cylinders weigh.

The full size cylinder from my Steyr LP-2 weighs 194 grams / 6.8 ounces. Unfortunately I don't have values for the short or Morini cylinders.

Hope this helps,

Yes, thanks - I was looking for the weight of the cylinder, not weights to be attached to one....

Thank you very much for the info provided!
