I saw someone at a match using a pair of hooks (used to hold his precision air rifle) that attached to the CC offhand stand. This seemed very handy to be able to be able to set the rifle down in the kneeling position without having to unhook the sling and set the rifle on the floor. It seemed as though it would be good for standing too, so the shooter doesn't have to bend down as far to pick up the rifle. I asked the shooter about it, and he said someone specially made it for him, but the man no longer makes them.
Any suggestions where I can find something like this?
Thanks.
I make them & I will be posting a ad in buy sell & trade in the next day or two. I offer them in five colors & are made of steel (the other ones on the market are aluminum)
I have seen people using these and I have to say putting a $4000 rifle in a couple of hooks on the offhand stand several feet off the ground gives me the willies. Too many things can go wrong.

That's why folks benefit from a set of "no-spill" hooks made specifically to hold 14lb target rifles. Designed by an old fart who no longer enjoys working on the ground. ;)
Making these is hardly rocket science, and I even prepared an article for how to do it in a home shop:
