I agree, a very useful feature, one that others would do well to copy.

Why though do they still insist on that opening "shot" sequence. Do they think that we have never seen a shot hole before. I can only imagine that someone has spent a lot of time in writing it and nobody has the heart to tell him/her that it cheapens the whole site (in my opinion).

I like most:
- Absorber check .
- Velocity check, when they suggest the range to adjust (155-160).
- Barrel fit with bolt.

Thank you very much for the video.

For two years, I could not figure out why this finely tuned machine would have a slightly crooked front sight. It bothered the hack out of me.

Today, after watching the video, I found there is a knob under the front sight that was loose. Tighten that knob, the sight is now straight.

This really made my day!!

Be very careful when doing the stabilizer check.

Beware that the three tiny spring might fly out from the stabilizer and never be found again !!

Watch out for those three springs as you pull the tungsten stabilizer out.

Does the stabilizer check also apply on the lp10e? My lp10e stabilizer is not between the beginning and middle of the bolt. Hmm.

I also looked at this one and wonder if the 155-160m/s is valid for any pellet weigth meaning that you need to re-adjust the velocity if you change the pellet weigth ?

All these videos are very interresting, there are many things that were never explained by Steyr till now and never appear in the user manual.

One remark: LP10 owners as myself are very happy with these video's, but I guess that LP50 owners must be very frustrated not finding the same for the LP50 specificities.

By mail exchange, they suggest me 155-160 for the 0,50 grams pellet.
No further indication: so i thought that was optimal also a bit higher with lighter pellet and a bit lower with heavier...

In the video, they also state 155-160 but without saying anything about the pellet weight.

My LP10 came from the factory with a velocity setting of 160 m/s for the heavy 0.53g pellets (Vogel). This setting gives 165 m/s for 0.50g pellets (H&N final match) and 171 m/s for 0.45g pellets (RWS R10)

Got response from steyr; the stabilizer setting is the same for the lP10E.
