Rear sight question - air rilfe

Post by Hon »

I shoot my FWB 700 AR upright (i.e. not canting). My rear sight has to be set about 3mm to the right to bring my pellets to centre. I tested this my resting the AR on table and shot upright. The left-right adjustment is the same. That is about 3mm to the right. Is this normal? Or does it mean pellets coming out of the AR go naturally to the left and therefore need sight adjustment to bring them back to centre?

IMO, it doesn't mean a thing, other than the fit & location of the action dovetail and the matching one on the sight, are not precisely on the centerline of the bore. That's what those twiddly sight knobs are for. :^) Besides, everybody's vision is slightly different & one can expect some sight compensation. PL
