Custom Stock I made

Post by talladega »

Here's a sneek preview of a stock I've been making for the past 4 months.

I started it in September. Been working on it on Saturdays when I have been home from college. Takes alot longer when you only get 4 or 5 days a month to work on it.

Only got one picture right now that I just took a few minutes ago.

I have not weighed the gun yet. I am going to do that soon so that I can get it as heavy as possible while still being balanced nicely.

Tomorrow I will be shooting it for the first time.

More pictures will come in the next week or two I hope.

It's an old Walther KKJ-T

My grandpa first got it in 1966 I think. I would say it has at least 70K rounds through it. I want to get it re-barreled someday with a heavier barrel.

Shot yesterday at our 20yd indoor range.

I made this gun for Canada's 'Sporting Rifle' category so thats why the target will look different to most of you.

I did poor in Prone and Kneeling because I'm not used to the stock. It will take some time to get used to it.

In standing I did amazing though. I shot a 199-9X.

Here's the target.
