Rifle Gear - HiTex?

Post by jhmartin »

Anyone across the pond have any info on a Czech company called HiTex?
They have been recommended as a new vendor for jacket/pants/gloves/kneeling rolls.

Yes, although i've only come across their Jacket and Trousers. These are almost identical to the ones now being offered by Mannel of Austria - http://www.maennel.at/cms/.

Mannel have the rights to the Evotex fabric (developed by Hitex) which is a totally different type of material to anything offered by any other manufacturer.

Ive actually got a Mannel Evotop jacket on order at the moment, it is the nicest jacket i've seen! I also know of a couple of other people using them.

If you're interested in the jacket or trousers, i'd suggest you actually go for Mannel. I've heard they have managed to get a better cut/ more accurate measurements etc than the Hitex. But to look at, they are pretty much identical.

The West Virginia Univ team uses hitex suits. If you are interested in a suit in the US you might contact WVU's rifle coach. He was considering becoming the US rep for them.

Thanks ... I actually got the lead from Morgan at UNL ... I think she has a suit or is looking at them for her team too.
