S&W 41 serial # help?

S&W 41 serial # help?
Anyone on the forum have a S&W Standard Catalog that would be willing to look up a number for me? I am considering purchasing a used 41 with the 5 1/2 inch barrel that looks completely unmodified, with very little wear. The serial # is TAB1XXX. Any info is welcome. Thanks!

I am aguest to this sight and read your request. I do not have the book but may be of some help. From the 2nd Edition of S&W Standard catalog serial no. TAa1985 was 1985 ----TAK7879 was 1986 ---- TAT2512 ---- 1987 and my mod.41 bought new in 1988 is TBDXXXX. I got this info a while back from RimfireCentral.com forums. I hope this might help.
