2009 Long Lake Black Bear Annual Championship

Post by Ed Hall »

The 2009 Long Lake Black Bear Annual Championship will be held 14-16 August in the heart of the Adirondack mountains in the "truly" upstate New York region (almost Canada).

There will be three relays fired; one each day, so you don't have to come for the entire weekend, or if you do make a weekend of it, you'll have time to sight-see as well.

Details can be found here:

Long Lake Black Bear Annual Championship Home Page

or, if you'd like just the Match Program, it can be found here:

14-16 August 2009 Match Program (pdf)

Please be sure to register ahead of time. We only have 10 firing points for a total of 30 competitors.

This is just a blatant reminder of our match in the Adirondacks this August. Our turnout is looking very light so far. Hope to see some more registrants soon.

As is written in the program, if we have no one registered by the previous day, we will not run that relay. Therefore, if you expect to just show up, you might not find anyone there. Please contact us ahead of time. Walk-ins will be accepted only if we have registered shooters by the day prior.

No apology! I wanted to move this back to the top one more time.

We have Saturday filled and a few for Friday and Sunday, so we are expecting to run all three days (separate entire relay each day). Please consider joining us. Where else can you fire a 2700 for only $25.00? Info can be found in my previous posts.

Final Installment (for this year)

The match has been fired and what a turnout!

We nearly saturated the range, hosting 28 shooters for 30 positions (10/day). And, the two vacant slots had been reserved, but were opened due to family issues at a few days prior. All three days were both sunny and warm.

The results are posted on the website. Go to Long Lake Black Bear Annual Championship for the results and other info.

Next year's match is expected to be scheduled for 13-15 August. Hope to see you there.

BTW, if we can fill the match and have more interested, we'll put in another 10 points to accommodate some bigger numbers.
