Diana trigger?

Post by Martin C »

Hi all.
Just ran into an old (or NOS actually) Diana 820 rifle from early 90's for sale. I have never used one before, but I know they had som pretty good barrels by that time, and this one is "hand-picked" from the factory, so of course I'm curios to check it out.

Anyway - any opinion about the Diana trigger compared to the Anschütz match trigger? Is it similar, or very special? Any other opinions about the Diana is of course also of interest:) Thanks, Bo.

Diana 820

Post by ADC59 »

Bo:
The Diana 820 is very rare in the US. Jack Foster imported a few. I have seen one picture of this rare breed. Is the one you have your eye on a standard rifle or free rifle?
This is total speculation, but my guess is that the trigger is similar to the RWS/Diana 100 SSP air rifle that was produced at the same time. If so, it would be two stage and adjustable to a fairly low pull weight.
Keep us informed

Thanks a lot Alan. It´s a free rifle, and to start with I'm going to try the action in a vice during august. I'll be back with feed-back. / Bo
