Entry Level LH Target Rifle

Post by ADC59 »

Hello Target Talkers:

What kind of options are there for a LH entry level .22 target rifle?

Thanks

The Anschutz 1903 is available in left hand. It is called an 'intermediate" level rifle, but it is more than adequate for an entry level shooter. The Savage 900 is available in left hand but it would need some trigger work and there are no adjustments available on the stock. If your 'entry level' shooter progresses with any speed, you would do well to stick with the Anshcutz. Hope this helps.

Entry Level LH Rifle

Al:
Thanks for the tip on the Savage 900. Options for a beginningLH shooter to shoot a true LH rifle seem pretty limited.

Alan,
Here is a thought you might want to ponder. If your entry level shooter is a young person, consider getting a decent air rifle for the starter instead of a smallbore rifle. They can be pure lefty or ambidextrous and can be used to train in 3p shooting quite easily. When the shooter has shown some ability, then upgrade to a higher than entry level smallbore rifle.
