Athlete / Coach Team Development Program

The Spalding County 4-H will host a Rifle “Athlete / Coach Team” development course over 3 days, beginning on June 2nd at The Ole Mill Range Complex, 129 N. Searcy St, Griffin GA, 30223. The program will be presented by Bob Foth, 1992 Olympic Medalist, member of the National Coach Development Staff.
Athlete / Coach Clinic June 2 6 p.m. till ??
June 3 8 a.m. till 5 p.m.
June 4 8 a.m. till noon
The Program is designed to afford coaches the opportunity to bond with their athlete … as a Team. Practical application of the principles of coaching, techniques, correcting position problems, training, and conditioning, learned in the Coach’s Clinic, will assist in the preparation of your athlete.

“With the high interest in the riflery programs in high schools all across Georgia, interested shooters and coaches are seeking training,” said Foth. “This course will provide training needed to reach the ’Appointed’ level for rifle coaching. Additional training is required to reach the certified level.”

The fee for the course is:
Athlete / Coach Clinic $200.00 per person; maximum of 3 Athletes per coach (Coaches may bring 4 Athletes if the coach is classified “Appointed” or higher.
(Coaches choosing to enroll in both phases of instruction receive discounts of $10.00 for themselves and each athlete they bring)

This may be the last program in your area and one of the last in the US for quite a while.
I understand that there have been many inquiries about this program, but too few actual registrations to meet the minimum. Please contact Carol immediately if you are interested.

In simple "bang-for-your-buck" terms, this clinic is the best money you can invest. Not only for the shooters, but for the coaches as well.

There is nothing like this in the US and I highhly recommend it as having attended two of these with my shooters.

All the 4-H-ers in GA that seriously shoot 3-Position (Air or Smallbore) are missing a fantastic opportunity if you pass this up .... this would be a great tune-up of your skills before you head off to Nationals.

JROTC shooters .... don't miss this whatever level or type of gun you shoot.

I chatted with Bob this weekend and the classes he has scheduled this year are probably the last he is able to do for quite some time due to his position at USAS now.

Even if you have attended one of these before, do it again and tune yourself up.
