An amendment to my last post concerning the batch sizes.
Batch sizes on the under side of the tin will read either:
4.48, 4,49, 4,50, 4,51
I was a tad dyslexic yesterday

and there I was, thinking how nice to know they cater for people with badly worn bores
Hi Spenc
I know what you mean. It has often been said that it is almost impossible to wear out an air rifle barrel as it would take more shots than you would ever have time to fire them!
However, the late 'great' Malcolm Cooper used a Walther LGR for over 10 years and he noticed that his group size was starting to open up after all this time. The only match pellets available in those earlier days was the RWS Meisterkugeln and there were no batch sizes offered.
Malcolm had his barrel checked by Walther and it had worn bigger by some small degree, i have no idea what. If a larger head size had been available in those days, i guess the barrel would have had an extended life.
As for the number of shots Malcolm fired over that period i do not know other than it was a huge amount.
