If you have the chance, I would recommend taking this tour. My wife (who is not a shooter) and I went on this tour back in 2001 and really had a nice time. I was worried my wife would be a little bored, but that was definitely not the case. The trip was a nice mix of factory tours, shooting, sightseeing, and good food.

I'm not going to be able to go this year,

But I do have a question. Since this is a shooting tour do you bring you own shooting gear and rifles? Or do the clubs you visit along the way loan you guns and gear?

you bring your own guns and gear.

It would seem kind of pointless to have to borrow something everynight

Even though the dollar sucks nowadays, I'd urge you to go on this trip. I see Scott already linked to my journal from the first one he did in 2001. He helped me take some of my rifle team over last year, too. If you want a very memorable vacation, this is it, even if your spouse isn't into shooting. You won't regret it!
