Hello Everyone,

IPC’s new web address is: http://www.paralympic.org/shooting

Sarah Bond is the new manager, and the former head classifier, Sally Hall, just resigned from her position for personal reasons.

They have recently added several events to the 2013 Calendar. I am looking at possibly taking teams to POL, TUR, GBR (all airgun only) and THA & BRA. Funding will be limited, but the opportunity to self-fund may be available if you are interested. Note that the 2013 European Championships in Spain are not open to athletes from the Americas.

Please send me a report on your January training and your training plan for February.

Ticket to Train Worksheet from the USAS website (resources; downloads section) is an excellent tool to help you with this.

If you have not updated goals for the next quad, you will find both of these links (same area of website) helpful as well:

USASNC info is available at: http://www.usashooting.org/7-events/match-information

Para events will be integrated with corresponding AB events (and Air Rifle Prone R3 & R5 are listed separately). Contact me first if you expect to have timing conflicts due to the “mixed” Para events.

USADA: Athletes are subject to testing in competition at all USAS events such as Selections, World Cups, and Nationals.

See https://www.usada.org/ for specific information regarding banned and allowed substances

USAS is updating the National Ranking system—stay tuned for updates this spring

Check your Passports—make sure they expire at least 6 months after your next known travel: Many countries won’t issue a Visa if they expire within 6 months of arrival. Athlete responsibility…
