So what happened to the US Army Open Air Rifle Championship. Our teams fired the postal phase of this event last year but didn't make it Fort Benning for the shoulder-to-shoulder. I guess they didn't have it this year. Anuone know why?

The Army Junior Open Air Rifle was held at Benning in March - results available on CMP's Competition Tracker. Next one scheduled in March of 2012.

It's not just the Army, there are other competitions that are called Junior Open.

Haven't seen anything on registration, you might try to contact USAMU. It is listed for Mar 26-28 on schedule at http://www.odcmp.com/3P/Schedule.pdf

I contacted the USAMU and there will be no postal for the match because there will be no match for 2012. Regretful, but was nice while they had it.

Guess they cancelled for some reason. They had it scheduled at Ft. Benning 26-28 Mar 2012. Found that info on helpful site: http://www.odcmp.com/3P/Schedule.pdf

Not to start a flame thread, but I don't think that was necessary Roy. Supporting these types of programs has always been their mission. I would also not start the rumor mill either on the climate at the AMU.
