TESRO RS 100 AIR RIFLE

Post by peepsight »

Hi robf

Thanks for that, I have since found out some more info from my German friends.
You are right, it is Peter Romer and his son who formed Tesro. Peter designed the LG300-XT when he worked for Walther.

He tells me that they use Lothar-Walther match barrels which he feels are the best. He also said in his e mail to me that although the Tesro's action looks like a Walther, it is completely different technically. He said better!

They use a anti recoil stabiliser and probe loading just like the Walther.

My German friends tell me that they are so far not popular in Germany but that may be because the company is ony 5 years old and its early days. Plus its a hard market to break into with all the well established brands.

They have a web site www.tesro.de

Tesro RS 100

I heard that Tesro is a pretty small out fit, basically father and son with a couple of other workers.
They out source many parts from Walther or Walther suppliers as i do know many Walther parts fit.

I don'y think they have the capacity to venture into FT.
The German shooting magazine 'Visier' gave the RS-100 a good test report in 06. Scoring 96 points out of 100. It beat the FWB's in the points table.

They only have 3 export outlets, Swtitzerland, Denmark and Belgium. They are though fairly well stocked by German dealers.

Edinkillie Sports Services in told me they were not an easy company to deal with. One wonders why?
