Has anyone handled the new Webley Alecto pistol?

I have heard that the Alecto pnuematic pistol is an innovative
multipump pistol with plenty of oomph.. and is destined to be the favorite among plinkers and competition shooters.

A site on the internet claimed that it shot better than a LP-10!

I have not been able to pinpont a U.S. distribuitor or retailer for this
pistol.

I'll reserve judgement on it until I hear or see some proper reviews of it. As to outshooting an LP10, I very much doubt that.

Hi,

I have shot one and for the money it is very impressive.

But the trigger is not in the same league as the LP10.

I think as an introduction to pistol shooting they are ideal.

The higher power also allows them to be used for pistol HFT with FT style knockover targets. Popular here in the U.K. as a side shoot to a lot of HFT events.

Another plinker influenced by the FAS 604.

Checkout the Weihrauch HW40 [aka Beeman P3], too. That design seems to have less mass above the hand than the Webley, and the trigger is adequate. Also see the Gamo Compact.

Yes, I think so. I haven't been able to play with one yet, but I don't think it will be replacing Steyr on the front lines any time soon. It does look like a fun 'can hunter' though, with more oomph than a typical pneumatic.

Guys, i know it won't beat the LP-10 in terms of quality, construction, and overall performance, but for what its selling for in the U.K., (around $250) its alot of gun for the money.

I would like to hear from more people who actually shot the gun and can give their pros and cons about this pistol.

By the way, who is the distribuitor in the U.S.?

I sell them in the UK

The grip is to big, the sights are poor but the gun is very easy to load even a child could load it.

It is much loved gun amongst the plinkers because of the price £169.
