Not a scam. Legit seller, getting out of 'summer biathlon' due to lack of events in his area (23 miles south of Cincinnati, OH). He's the original owner; bought rifle new from Altius in 2010.

Its not a 1827 Fortner. Maybe a cheaper bolt action.

I've heard from the seller, who wants money by PayPal first and then he'll figure out the shipping cost. He provided a KY phone number (Google search says "Primal Creations", and it matches with the name he provided by email, and I called him and had a lengthy chat, so it's legit... and he understood my skepticism!)

(FWIW, the last several Anschutz bargains advertised on Armslist were scams, and were ads copied from other sites -- such as Gunbroker -- and pasted into Armslist with a greatly reduced price. The community flags them, and such ads are deleted, hopefully in time to prevent a buyer getting taken.)

Pretty sure this is an Anschutz 64 R Biathlon. retailed for $1200 when new. Here's a link to a review http://bulletin.accurateshooter.com/200 ... -biathlon/

Have you been shooting the biathlon matches at Boone?

No, I'm too old and fat, but it looks like fun :)

I will stick with the stand, sit or lay on my belly in one place and wait for the front sight to stop moving.
