World Shooting Para Sport Match to be Contested in Georgia this Summer
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado (March 28, 2017)

USA Shooting is proud to announce that a World Shooting Para Sport (formerly IPC Shooting) Approved Competition will be held in conjunction with the National Championships for Rifle/Pistol June 26 – July 2, 2017 at the home of the U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit in Fort Benning, Georgia.

This competition will be conducted under World Shooting Para Sport (WSPS) Rules and Regulations, as well as ISSF Rules and Regulations. This competition is recognized by WSPS as a Level 1 Approved Competition, therefore participating athletes must hold a valid WSPS Athlete License, and results from this competition (in every event with athletes from three or more National Paralympic Committees participating) will be recognized by WSPS for Rankings and MQS. Please note that there will not be International Classification conducted at this competition, therefore, athletes must already hold classification statuses of “Review” or “Confirmed” to compete.

To register for this WSPS event, international competitors should complete the forms here (pages 9-11) and email them to alex.szablewski@usashooting.org. U.S. competitors should register online.

More information can be found in the event program: http://www.usashooting.org/library/Comp ... rogram.pdf.

USA Shooting has hosted three WSPS World Cups and held its first Level 1 Approved Competition last year with athletes from nine countries participating.
