LG300 will not fire after filling

My sons HS team has a LG300 that will not fire after filling the cylinder, however after a few hours it begins working again. Is this common to this model or is this a defect?

Try dry-firing until you empty the regulator, THEN put the cylinder on.

No go? Contact manufacturer.

Not overfilled, it doesn't seen to matter how much air you add. We tried purging the regulator before installing the cylinder but no change. Shoots fine after about 3 hours resting.
