Ambidextrous rifle?

Post by Bbryer33 »

Why are ambidextrous rifles cheaper online than specified right or left handed rifles? Is it simply because of the hand grip? I/m looking at purchasing a new air rifle and have found a FWB Ambidextrous for 500 dollars cheaper than a specified right or left handed air gun. Why is this?

I would say ambidextrous rifles are usually more basic rifle design

Solar is correct,

The only FWB air rifles that are Ambi. are the Evolution, Evolution "Top", and the Junior. All three are very much more basic than'a standard 700 or 800.

On the other hand, high end rifle (pistol grip) can easily switch between right and left. Mine just need to switch the grip fro left to right and turn the cheek piece backward. Loading gate usually can be switched from one side to another.

The FWB 700 'Basic' (Beech stock) is Ambi. If like me you are a wood stock fan, then this is pretty good, it has the same action as the 700 Ali and has adjustable cheek piece and butt plate. Barrel and butt weights can be added.
