Prone Shooting Mats

Post by discotwo »

I am considering getting my own mat and looking at either the ESE or AHG Anschutz, as both are said to be ISSF compliant & waterproof. I like the look of the AHG as it is lighter to carry, but are these good ones to consider and how do they compare with each other. Alternatively what others are worth considering in this price bracket?

I cant speak for the AHG Anschutz one but I've used an ESE mat and also old version of Kurt Thune, and my personal preference over the two is the Kurt Thune.
This seems to be the general consensus among the shooters here.
Elbows get more tired (and more sore) on the ESE mats.
