Re: Handstop for BSA 12/15 rail?

I had to shave some metal off one side of my Anshutz forestop to make it fit on my BSA.

Re: Spotting scope

I have the Athlon I purchased from Midway USA. It got to where I could not see my shots at a hundred yards. I have a Kowa 25 ler but the zoom piece was too expensive. The Athlon zoom has solved the problem. A well made scope for a little over a hundred dollars.

Re: Monocole

With glasses, (Champion) I find the eye relief too far to the iris. I feel the monocole will cure this.

Monocole

Just wondering what you all think about using a monocole on my target rifle instead of glasses. Advantages and disadvantages if any.

Re: Glasses vs monocle

A few years ago I had a round rupture in my small bore rifle. I was lucky, no metal just powder came back on my glasses. If not for glasses. I might have had a serious problem. Glasses gets my vote.

If she has not already been to a Optometrist have her go. Try to find one that knows shooting, a lot easier to work with. Shooting glasses are a must.

I met David back in 1974 in Florida. He was around my age (14) I guess. He was very quiet and unassuming but he knew the sport even at that young age. He will not be forgotten. RIP.

Re: cheek piece question

Tim, we were thinking along the same lines. I have a material called A&B epoxy that when mixed together hardens. If I am going to extend the cheek piece, I might as well do the whole thing. Looks nicer and will feel more comfortable than wood. I will try to send a picture. Thanks for help, Don.

Re: cheek piece question

Tim, thanks for the reply. It is the prone position. I shoot the first generation Gemini which the cheek piece cannot go forward which would bring my head back is what I need to do.Move the cheek piece too far forward and the bolt won"t go all the way back to eject the shells.

cheek piece question

I find I am too far forward on the cheek piece which results in an unsteady head position. I cannot move it forward to compensate. Other than moving the butt plate out, any suggestions on what I can try.

Modena, make sure that your lens is straight up and down. Any inward or outward positioning can cause a blurry sight picture.
