Compensator on Rifles?

I was under the impression that using a compensator on a rifle was illegal under rule 7.4.1.5 but in the 3P finals there was a shooter with a bloop tube that I would essentially call a compensator. My question is is it actually a compensator? If it is how was it legal?

Re: FWB 2800?

Feinwerkbau also makes a 2700 'Leicht' which has a 22mm fluted barrel which I believe they are referring to.

Re: Rifle Boots

I've found that European sizes are relatively accurate to what they say they are. Then again I usually just get the biggest size they carry ;)

I've used the first and fourth option and for me the first one was better, as previously mentioned I would get distracted by the receiver clamping one but with the screw-in level I would be able to see it out of the corner of my eye with out paying it much attention. For me using the level inside th...

Yes, I have my 700 set to 35ish grams first stage and 70ish grams second stage and it breaks like glass. I remember having to fiddle with it for a few hours to get it exactly where I wanted it to be but it was well worth it.

I've charged my cylinder (FWB 700) maybe 1000 times in the past 3 years and have yet to have even the slightest leak. The only thing wrong with my cylinder is a crack in the manometer glass from poor handling at the airport.

That's how my coach stores our elements, I use an Iris so I don't use elements anymore.

The pellets were good for me, but they shot mediocre in my FWB 700 so I stuck to H&N Pistol Match.

For example my FWB 700 LOVES H&N Pistol Pellets 4.50mm but doesn't like Meisterkugeln 4.50mm. You just gotta try a few out and see what your rifle likes and what you feel YOU can trust.

Well look at the current value of one new which is 2700-2800ish then start knocking off money for the pieces missing, 225 for the cylinder and around 475 for a rear sight so we have 2000-2100. How much do you feel it to have depreciated? If it looks like a service rifle knock off say 700 but if it's...

The biggest thing I don't like about my Alfa Proj would be the trigger, after about 5ish hours I got it close to what it should feel like but it still feels like the trigger on a Savage MKII. I'm not even sure if it'll hold the 500g weight, it seems still too light to actually use. Also the rear bla...

My position doesnt feel scrunched, I was only adding LOP to give distance between the rear sight and my eye it also helped to gain better position on the cheek rest, I only added 5mm. Anyways I am curious by what you mean to reach the plate ? that's not a phrase I have heard before. do you mean the...

From the pictures I would definitely increase the LOP, it seems uncomfortable to scrunch that much, I just fiddled with my LOP and it solidified my position a great deal (even cleaned my first card in competition (even better since my prone had been dragging down around my kneeling scores for a mont...

I make adjustments if I need to otherwise I don't. If my group starts to shift, I start to click. Pretty simple IMO, if stuff really shifts rapidly (e.g. going from deep 10s to weak 9s) I tend to reevaluate what I'm doing in my shot process (I tend to get lazy and try to cut corners).

I've had a FWB 700 for three years now and have never cleaned it, it's never really needed it. The 603 being a SSP really wouldn't need cleaning unless the velocity started to drop which if i remember right indicates either worn seals or dry seals due to lack of lube. The barrel never needs to be cl...
