Re: ISSF supported seminar on Mental training for shooters

The mental side of the sport is extremely important and increases in importance the higher up the ladder you go. Many people can coach others as they have been there and done it but the mental side is a different kettle of fish. Not many people are qualified Psychologists and so any insight into thi...

Thank you for your reply. Do you know what size tool is needed to remove it e.g. M3, M2,5 etc

Thank you

Re: Pistol mods

It may not be a good idea putting the sand on the top.

I have heard about someone who did a similar thing, not using polymorph, and the sand came off and got in the action and caused all sorts of issues.

Just a heads up :)

Morini CM84E grub screw

Hi,

Does anyone know the size of the grub screw which holds the 'moderator' on to the barrel. I can find the part number from their website but no mention of its size.

Many thanks

Re: Steyr LP-10 Trigger Shoe

Perhaps a 5mm flat on the front of the trigger with a groove would make the weight test easier.

Re: Steyr LP-10 Trigger Shoe

The LP10 trigger looks really nice.

Have you ever taken it through an Equipment Control at a competition? Some EC struggle to lift the weight with a standard trigger so I can imagine even more fun with a rounded trigger like that.

All the best

Re: Free pistol advice

So you decided after this whole thread to do what you had already planned to do? What about Norma Tach and Fiocchi SV...you should be able to get those in Europe since they're made there. Eley Club would be good, too. Not quite Rover. If you took time to read the OP properly there is a question of ...

Re: Free pistol advice

Hi Mark, I was shooting some CCI through a friend's semi-auto rifle the other week. Grouping was generally OK but got a flier that surprised me. I've got some SK but not tried it yet, will let you know my thoughts. By the way if you want to shoot tighter groups you need your K22 back, it's shooting...

Re: Free pistol advice

Thanks for all of the replies guys, much appreciated. I am going to give the SK Pistol ammo a go and see what the recoil is like on that. If it's the same or near enough as Eley, that's the way I'll be going. Hopefully, one day I will need to go on to the Eley :) All the best and good shooting Mark

Re: Free pistol advice

Way off topic Mark but I thought they had taken away all your pistols in UK. Hi gwsb, They have indeed taken away pistols here in the UK but when this happened the manufacturers designed a pistol that falls within the current UK laws. The law states that a Section 1 firearm must have a barrel lengt...

Re: Free pistol advice

Thanks for the reply Rover. I have to say I have noticed the pistol specific ammunition give less recoil and my groups are tighter. The prices in the UK are as follows: CCI Standard £72.00/1000 SK Pistol £82.00/1000 Eley Match Pistol £140.00/1000 So probably the pistol specific SK is the way to go. ...

Free pistol advice

Hi, Probably opening myself open to all sorts of ridicule but here goes anyway. I am just getting in to free pistol and thought about training using SK Pistol ammunition but then shoot matches using Eley Match Pistol. The cost of the Eley could turn out to be prohibitive (I have 2 kids who also shoo...

Free PIstol Glove

Hi, It looks like I am going to have to do my free pistol training outside this Winter. When I watched the 2012 World Cup in London (the pre-cursor to the Olympics) I notice a lot of the shooters wearing gloves over the top of their pistols while shooting (it was very cold). See the attached picture...

Re: Pardini Questions and Answers

Hi, I'm not sure if I have put this question on here correctly or if I'm posting a reply - which it isn't !! Anyway, I have recently purchased a second hand UK specification K22. Now and then when I squeeze the trigger, nothing happens, no release. It may shoot 20 times OK and then number 21 nothing...

" How can you criticize personal preference?" I'm not and never have. What I'm criticizing is the high cost of going to PCP without any real gain in performance, quality, maintainability, and reliability, just because someone slurped the Kool-Ade, therefore believing they are not competit...

Re: New to 10m air rifle

The original thread states he has no intention of moving into precision so I don't understand why everyone is pushing precision rifles in this thread - they would not be allowed to shoot in a Sporter comp (at least here in the UK). The FWB 600s and Walther are undoubtedly great rifles but not suitab...

Re: New to 10m air rifle

Hi UCChris, The Air Arms MPR is the main choice for Sporter class over here in the UK. At the recently held Junior International, the South African squad aced the Sporter class and if my memory serves me correctly ALL of their squad use MPRs. The British Sporter Record was shot using an MPR. The cur...
