Re: Locations to shoot Florida or South Carolina

Update: Instead of ones and twos, pleas help contribute to an all inclusive list of shooting ranges that offer Smallbore and Air Rifle shooting programs. This list won’t be governing body specific, I don’t mind if it’s NRA, CMP, or USA Shooting. If you offer a program that is open to the public or p...

I help coach AFW2 (Air Force Wounded Warrior Adaptive Sports) and we are interested in finding some ranges to shoot air or smallbore in those states.

Can anyone help out?

Thanks,

Re: San Antonio, TX: Smallbore Competitions 2022 Schedule

I should add, We are planning to change some of the events to Mini Palma. Wayne Nunn is the Match Director, I am just a younger guy helping get the word out. Our Mini Palma should become a great skill builder training at 100 yards. If you do not have a rifle, send a message and there is a good chanc...

Re: gunsmith needed for Anschutz 18XX barrel change

I have been extremely satisfied with Chesebro, (Previously MT Guns). http://www.chesebrorifles.com/ I have three rifles and I have shot a couple 599's on A50 Metric (Scoped) and 399's plus several 1600 & 1200's on the conventional target. plus the amazing work on my center fire guns. I am actual...

Re: Favorite Bullet

I do believe the rules have changed, the CMP does now allow 9mm 1911 as well as glocks and some other Springfield and S&W and others 6.2.3 a) U. S. Government or Colt M1911 Service Pistols or commercial versions of the same type (M1911). These pistols may be chambered for any cartridge with a bo...

Re: Favorite Bullet

Yep, Ill have to try some Hornady bullets... Bullseye Powder is what i have right now, got it for a good deal, and Winchester primers at the local gun store.

I did have great luck with the wilson ammo shooting 115g HAP's but it also had some feed issues

Favorite Bullet

Hey guys, Long time rifle shooter looking for advice on bullets. This would be for 9mm 1911; Just curious to know what the preferred style and weights might be for target shooting. I ordered some Berry 9mm 124g HBRN because they were a good price. Are the flat nose popular for target shooting? My en...

Re: FWB 2600 Universal Rear diopter "Click" values ......

I believe that my FWB 2602 "Similar" had a 12 click sight. but what i am about to recomend may be more helpful. I suggest that you get to a 100 yard range if available, shoot your rifle from a rest if you like and just sight in at 100 yards. once you have a solid zero, make a known adjustm...

Re: Anschutz versus FWB dovetail sizing help.

My advice, and what i have done for the last couple years is this: 1. Swap out the Bloop Tube for one with Anschutz size front bases: 2. Use Genuine Anschutz Sight's and Bases and you wont have a problem for the rest of your days. The front tube on the FWB is wider cant recall how much, so switching...

If you are willing to travel we host regular matches in Los Angeles. We even shoot on electronic targets every 4th Saturday. And typically have one large match NRA Registered/Regional or State Championship.

Let me know what works for you, I run the Websight:

Re: determining front apeture size

I'll go out on a limb here, but for a standard length barrel (i.e. Anschutz 1907 or 1913 with no extension tube) 3.6mm is my minimum starting point for the ISSF 50m target in Prone, irrespective of the actual sight radius. Standing and kneeling usually need a larger aperture size to compensate for ...

Re: Cloning Anschutz Precise Stock

The reason my smith went with the additional holes was for a stronger adaptation, the recoil lug is even recessed into the stock. If you look at it this way I have less that could go wrong, not that it would, but the stress in your setup sound like it goes from the Action to the Action screws, to th...
