Remington 40X iron sight mount

Check with Al Warner. He makes a combo mount scope/iron sights that will keep you rear sight centered over the bore.

Works like a champ.

Re: Anschutz 1913 Ejectors

Thanks for the help. Got the ejector installed. Took two strokes with a file across the top surface of the ejector and the bolt closed and ejected the empties like it should.
I am in business!

Re: Anschutz 1913 Ejectors

There would be two parts to the ejector. The ejector itself that drops theough the bottom of the action and the spring clip that holds it in on the outside of the action. OK, I receiver the new ejector and spring. Now, the ejector is claw hammer shaped and my question is: Which side goes toward the...

Anschutz 1913 Ejectors

Group. I recently installed a 1918 Precise stock on my (previously wood stocked) 1913. Somehow in this process, the ejector disappears from the action. Looked everywhere in the are where I performed installing the new 1918 stock and cannot find any parts on the floor. How the heck does an ejector ju...

Re: Anschutz Precise Cheekpiece Mods

I purchased the stock that had been used. The cheek piece is an aluminum plate that is flat on top and the left side transitions to vertical abruptly. This 90 degree transition leaves a harsh edge against your cheek that ( no matter how u adjust the cheek piece) puts a sharp edge against your cheek ...

Anschutz Precise Cheekpiece Mods

Am looking to customize the cheekpiece on my 1918 Precise stock. The factory "Plate" is just too hard and abruptly angled for comfort.

What sort of foam have you been using to soften up and pad the plate on these stocks.

Re: The last 1 second.....

Gents, As I am on the verge of acquiring a SCATT USB trainer, I would like to know if there is a website or forum where this sort of discussion takes place. The machine will gather the data but I need the education in interpreting the information it is telling me. That is the only way that I feel I ...

Re: How to buy a Bleiker in the US

If you feel that the Bleiker is expensive, don't think about getting into competitive trap shooting. The price tag on the imported trap guns will make the Bleiker look like you should have purchased two!

YES, I use a riser block on the rear of the 1913 action. That gives me a more upright head position that is comfortable for me.

Have a bloop tube on the rifle with the rightsite and use the adjustable iris that goes to 7.5mm.

Early Kimber 22 conversions were actually made by Ciener. The magazines are metal and the accuracy, while not bullseye competitive, is much better than 2" at 50 ft. My conversion will hold the 10 ring at 20 yds and never misses a beat with CCI SV ammo. The Marvel units are definitely the standa...

I have been using the Anschutz sling with the adjustable turn buckle. Really like this sling. It doesn't stretch, and you can make minor adjustments into your string as your body, position settles.

Just a few turns of the round turn buckle and viola, your where you need to be.

Gents,

Thanks for your experience.

I ordered an East Hampton Victor from an older collector. Looks like a nice gun and the price was for a very nice shooter, not a with the box and all papers collector.

Am anxious to get it and do some shooting and see how I like it.

S&W or HS

Gents, Looking at 22 rf target pistols. Thinking about getting my feet wet doing some bullseye shooting. If I have the choice between a S&W 41 or a HS Victor (5.5" bbls), what are the pros and cons of each? Will be looking for a pistol that is a shooter and not a collector's item. Price rea...

I am with Tim. Place the sling around by left hand (this position is critical for me) and then lead down onto the mat with my left elbow.

I want the sling across the back of my hand and not across my wrist bone. Across the wrist cuts off the circulation in my hand.

When I shoot prone indoors at 50 ft with my 1913, I use the factory rear sight. It allows you to perfectly center you shots in the bull. Its adjustments are very fine. Outdoors, shooting prone at 50yds, 50 meters, and 100 yds, I remove the Anschutz rear sight and install a Warner #2. The reason for ...

I would agree with all of you that the shooter is a large part of the equation. That said, at our local regional prone matches, the top two positions are usually shooting clean and X count decides the winner. Certainly a rifle that demonstrates extraordinary accuracy would/could be the deciding fact...

There has been a couple of negative reviews of the 10X rifles that I have read. I would want to investigate those reports and verify that they were true and what corrective action the manufacturer took.

For that kind of money, I expect to get exactly what they advertise.
