Same sight alignment should have the SAME point of impact, no? 3 position rifle man do not adjust their sight for standing, kneeling, and prone, no? No. Whatever sight alignment you are getting with the pistol clamped is not relevant to what you need when you are holding it in your hand. Bench rest...

Potentially this soreness in the elbow area could also be caused by gripping the airgun too tightly.

Not sure why you suggest that a .32 is hard to reload. I have never had a problem, and load development has usually meant one or two charge weight iterations to achieve the velocity and accuracy that I want. By contrast, the .45 required a bit more work to ensure reliability as well as accuracy.

I have used WST with 98 or 100 gr swaged SWC. I use a load that will give me around 650-700 fps. I do all of my load development with a chronograph, as one time I tried a recommended load and found that I was getting close to 800 fps, which I considered far too rough for my GSP. I try to keep my tar...

Harvey at Airgunsplus out of Prince Albert was selling the Hawke line of compact scopes. With mine I can easily spot .22 holes at 50 metres.

Re: First pistol session

Hi all, I bought myself a Webley Alecto to test the waters of pistol shooting. First question; (oh, there'll be more questions coming lol) my hand is a little sore from the palm shelf pressing on the bone just above my wrist when I tilt down to lock my wrist. Is this normal "break in" for...

I shot the GSP for years, both the GSP and the newer Expert. Reliable and accurate. But, I have also shifted away from the muzzle heavy feel. I tried the Hammerli SP20 for several years, exclusively, and while it had some good features it was not reliable from a mechanical and durability point of vi...

Perhaps I have missed something. I thought that for men's air pistol, the time allowed was 1 hour 45 minutes for 60 shots and sighters. Has this changed, or are you discussing a different match?

As stated, it is hard for someone else to state which width, as it will depend on barrel length, (sight radius) and arm length as well (if you are holding it further away, it will appear smaller). I use a wide front blade, that covers the black about 75%. It might be a bit too wide, but I used that ...

One shooter had a problem similar to that described. It turns out that there was a burr in the hold for the extractor, or perhaps ejector, I believe, which meant that the action was inconsistent due to the part hanging up.

Re: Spare magazine on the shooting bench

During a regional competition, Standard pistol event, the referee made a competitor remove his spare magazine from the shooting bench. The magazine was not loaded. I have been searching the ISSF rules to find out on which argument the referee had based his decision, but couldn’t find any. Has any o...

does anyone know how Igor collected his data. I was there, and I don't recall any form of data collection. Unless he had a chance to go through the copies of equipment control forms. But that would only indicate what handguns were checked, not what was used.

Physical Training

I would suggest you ignore the advice about holding weights out at the end of your arm, or twisting it up. Sounds like advice from an old Hollywood movie with Racquel Welch trying to become a vengeful gunshooter. After many years of shooting, I would suggest that you have a consultation with a physi...
