Re: Steyr Air Pistol Maintenance and Repair

For servicing Steyr airguns, check out GoedSchot.nl (https://www.goedschot.nl/). It is a small shop in the Netherlands specialized for many years in anything Steyr. I've heard a lot of good comments about its owner Hans Manders.

Re: NEW SCATT MODEL???

New comparison ! Trace apparantly needs fast computer as background processes cause lag. Accuracy is still a sour point.

Re: NEW SCATT MODEL???

Apparantly the new SCATT model 'Basic' is out. See http://www.scatt.com/training-systems/75/scatt-basic/ . Uses a stripped down version of the Scatt software http://www.scatt.com/software/77/scatt-basic-program/ http://www.scatt.com/images/100t.png Available from ShootingEquipment in Germany for 750...

Re: Hammerli AP20 - low velocity problem

Has any silicone oil got inside onto the striker bar ? That can kill a striker weight.
The AP20 has not been disassembled or oiled but we'll try to check for this. Thanks for the suggestion.

Hammerli AP20 - low velocity problem

The Hammerli AP20 of my shooting friend developed a low velocity problem : pellets now make an oval shape in the paper target and using a chrony the speed was only 100 m/s. Another AP20 in our club produces a velocity of 150 m/s and shoots nice round holes. The manual of the AP20 is silent on adjust...

Re: Lube for air cylinder ??

Indeed never use silicone grease on the threads of your air cylinder. I used to do this on a Steyr airpistol and an FWB airrifle thereby almost making it impossible to unscrew the air cylinder after a while. I've switched to a synthetic grease such as GunTec Liqui Moly and has not yet experienced an...

Re: NEW SCATT MODEL???

Any new developments ? It has been silent for a few months now.

Would love to see the sensor equipped with a battery and Bluetooth connection so one can get rid of the USB cable to the laptop.

Re: Mega link versus suis electronic targets

One element that bothers me with the Elitescorer Basic is that one has to choose between the rifle version or the pistol version. The alternative is to go for the Elite club version which can handle both air pistol and air rifle but this costs twice the price of the Basic and than one is in the same...

An update on the cleaning of my dusty Centra duo glass foresight. Centra confirmed this foresight cannot be disassembled and they offered to clean it free of charge. I've now received my cleaned foresight and it is as good as new. Very nice service of Centra although the whole process could have bee...

Cleaning a Centra duo glass foresight

My Centra duo glass foresight is dusty on the inside. This is very obvious when shooting a Meyton target or when shining a flashlight through the tunnel. Does anyone know how to disassemble this foresight so that I can clean the glass elements on the inside ? Any help is much appreciated. Regards, P...

Is the Scatt MX-02 also useful as a replacement of electronic targets such as Meyton on a 10 meter airrifle range ? I'm not looking for the same accuracy as a Meyton device, but if the MX-02 can reliably show hits with e.g. a 0.2 point error margin than its function for shot analysis can be extended...

MEC monocle - lens attachment in front of iris

I spotted the following product on the MEC website : http://www.mec-shot.de/en/productnews/mec-glas-system/monocle/ Basically it is a fixed correction lens attachment to put the lens in front of the iris which makes wearing glasses superfluous. Anyone having experience with this system ? Any thought...

Re: Centra Cheek

The two grubscrews on the left-hand side change the tension on the traversing mechanism. Tighten them up and you will lock the movement, loosen them too far and it can move when you apply cheek pressure. See the image below where the two grubscrews are identified as "hex nuts". Loosen the...

Can you comment on the difference in noise levels of the LP10e vs. the LP10 or the Morini ?

Noise level of Morini vs. Steyr

I'm looking to buy a new air pistol for 10 meter shooting in my house. Therefore the noise level is one of the issues I need to consider. I'm considering the Morini CM 162 EI, the Steyr LP10 and Steyr LP10E. Which one of these pistols would be the quitest ? The Morini CM 162 EI has a muzzle compensa...
