Re: Problem with 208s

Sounds like a magazine problem to me. Borrow someone's good working magazine and try it in your gun.

Re: Pardini HP 32, ammo talk

Has any one used Jagemann brass, Natchez has it listed 100 for $17.99. I've tested 20 different brands of brass in my Pardini but not this one.

Re: best all round pistol for olypmic style shooting?

Your club shooters are shooting the 32 S&W long which do break extractors.
Shoot the 32acp and the extractor will not break.
Firing pins are low cost and easy to replace. I have over 100 thousand trigger pulls on one. This is usually a few years of shooting.

Re: Pardini HP 32, ammo talk

Greetings, For loading small capacity cases, like the 32 ACP, I use a Star. Excellent uniformity of powder drops. Also, the Star Machine Works will do their best to supply the proper sizing and expanding dies tailored to your reloading components. http://www.starmachineworks.com/ Cheers, Dave I als...

Re: Pardini HP 32, ammo talk

I also shoot lead and get better groups than with the 60gr XTP. You will need that custom expander
or a custom sizing die. I use a custom sizing die and do not need the expander. This gun is accurate,
and cheaper to shoot than 22's.

Re: .45 options that aren't 1911 or similar grip angle?

For me I can shoot a 3.5 of 4 lb. trigger easier with the 45 grip angle than the euro angle.
I don't think many free pistols have trigger weights in this range.

Never had any primers backing out even when trying really light loads. I use both Federal and Winchester primers.

Re: Pardini HP 32, ammo talk

Hi Old Caster, I do not use an expander. I have a series of custom made sizing dies in 0.001" increments that I match the bullet size to the brass case. Thicker brass case bigger sizing die. I do not use an expander because I observed that most cases are not uniform in thickness and strength fr...

Re: Pardini HP 32, ammo talk

Hi Shootaholic, Sorry if I mislead you. I could not get good accuracy with pure lead wire when I made hollow base bullets. When I use a harder alloy I get good results. The hollow base give a little more bearing surface that a flat base and when using a hollow point with a hollow base I get the long...

Re: Pardini HP 32, ammo talk

Hi Shootaholic, I have the same swage set up that you have. My finished bullet is 0.3148" when finished. I also have a nose punch that gives me a hollow point SWC. I could not get the hollow base to shoot well with soft lead wire. My theory is the bullet skirt deforms as it leaves the barrel. W...

Re: Pardini HP 32, ammo talk

I've tried a lot of lead bullets and this is what I've observed. Old casters bullet cast from accurate mold: soft alloy works best soft lube 50/50 works best T&B bullets: very few good groups most bad bullets seem inconsistent same bullets put in a swage = really nice consistent groups (I have a...

2 guns are always better than one that you have to convert between matches. You would have your backup gun also.

It probably does not show it too well in the photo but on mine I can just remove the scope and the iron sights are usable.

Re: .22 Conversion for the .32 ACP Pardini

I use the Larry mounts with a scope for each barrel. It takes all the drama out of changing from 22 to CF. Change over is less than a minute and you know the gun will be sighted in. I leave my trigger set to CF weight all the time so I leave that step out when changing barrels.
