Re: compressors to fill air rifle cylinders ?

I lucked into a Bauer compressor, but before that I had the local firehouse fill my tank for 10 bucks.
Those cheaper compressors are very problematic.

Re: Precision Air Rifle for Junior

I have a LG400 and I never had any issues. It was a bit light for me so I added some weight and swapped in a steel cylinder from a LG300 Dominator. Point being it is pretty light, and lighter than my Precise 9003. I really like the loaded indicator, and the pellet load tray. I have my loading leaver...

I will thank Midway for their rather large donation to my college team about 8 years ago.
Really helped shooters there.

Re: can you put different buttplates on an air rifle?

I replaced the Anschutz plate with a contact 3. So it can be done. There are parts that allow for fine adjustment that you can skip. So the Anschutz set up has fine tuning screws that are not needed in my opinion. Without these parts, it adjusts just like the contact 3.

Re: Which 10 meter air rifle?

Used LG 300 Alutec since you are set up with Walther. I have a LG300 Dominator for outside silhouette, and it really has the same solid feel as my LG400.

Re: Walther LG400 air rifles. Pros and Cons?

Does anybody know anything about the Anschutz 2002? Any pros and/or cons? No dry fire, and the 8002/9003 trigger is much better. I guess the shot count is a tad lower, but that does not matter. The aluminum stocks and the wood stocks both seem to break at the wrist. I did shoot a 2002CA ALUminum fo...

Re: Styer lg 110

I owned the LG100, and the Lg110. To me personally they had the worst feel of any brand I ever used. One was a field target model with increased power, and it was amazingly accurate. They have great triggers, accurate, but I absolutely did not like the feel. I think Walther Lg400, Anschutz Precise, ...

Re: Steyr LG-100 Cylinder Gauge Damaged

I am not saying it is moral, but a LG100 cylinder is likely over 10 years old, and any repair shop may be afraid of repairing an out of date cylinder. You may be looking at a new unit if you want the gauge. I would probably just refill by pellet count.

Re: Walther LG400 air rifles. Pros and Cons?

I have owned plenty match rifles, and the Walther Expert is my favorite. Great trigger, great consistency, great ergonomics. Only con I can think of is different screw sizes everywhere. They could have standardized screws. Not a big deal.

Re: Need rifle recommendations

Crosman used to make an AR upper air rifle unit for your AR/M16 lower. You can use your regular stock, buffer tube, grip, trigger, everything that you have on your service rifle but shoot pellets instead of dollars. It's called the MAR-177, and although it's a PCP you can fill it with a hand pump. ...

Re: hip issue

Rotation of the hips/spine in offhand is very bad for your lower back. The weight of the rifle and the position may cause your hips to strain and this strain causes nerve pain. The pain cause muscle tension, then nerve pain, in a downward cycle. It is one of the most prevalent lower back problems. Y...

Re: FWB 2700 Super-match or Walther KK300?

All the top name brand rifles are excellent, and I guess you adapt to what ever one you choose. That being said, I was a coach for many years and the KK300 was preferred by far over Anschutz. We did not have the 2700 as a team owned rifle, and I actually never recall a member owning one. So I can no...

Re: Ammo question

I recently tested most of the ammunition types in a few targets rifles, and my shooting friend did the same. We both thought Center X followed by Norma Tac shot the best, in our 6 rifle outing. We have a few bricks of Center X, and we both bought the same lot of Tac for practice. Both Tac and Center...

Re: Anschutz 9015 One vs. Anschutz 9003

I have a Precise 9003 S2, and I have never held a 9015. From the pictures it looks like the 9015 was designed to be manufactured cheaply, and it looks flimsy. I would be scared to try a new 9015. Walther and FWB are other choices.

Re: 8002 vs 9003

Originally I shot an 8002s1 (of the Orange variety). I have Precise for Smallbore, so I bought 9003 Precise for Air Rifle. Most people seem to like the curve in the Precise stock, but I found I shoot better with a straight stock, so I now shoot a brand new alu 8002s2 with stabilizer. The 9003 Preci...

I think Norma Tac is the best inexpensive ammo on the market. I think it would be a very good for your shooters. Good luck.
