All that went on thirty years ago, but didn’t find enough traction and it seems ISSF has abandoned it. At least some of those rapidfire air pistols are still around. Maybe you could lead a resurrection?

Our club for many years kept a large tank of nitrogen for air gun users. Since normal air is 79% N2 the only thing being removed is the oxygen- so no corrosive effect. We just treated it as if it was compressed air. No problems as far as I know.

Dave, all of the dozen or so that I mounted on guns over thirty years had the underside milled out, only the bridges where the mounting screws holes were placed were solid. Hope that helps.

Check with Sportec in Malmö Sweden, they often listed P240 parts in the past. Worth a check anyway.
