The most consistent pressure you can apply to the grip with your thumb is ZERO……..

Re: Matchguns mg2 parts for old model
Never should any material be removed from the secondary release levers upper end !
My suggestion is to freshen up the sear face which is acceptable and beneficial if wear has taken place.

Re: Matchguns mg2 parts for old model
I had a similar vintage MG2 and was able to resurface the sear face on the secondary release lever using a dremel. It worked perfectly however only attempt this if you feel confident and have the right equipment. John Moore of Euroarms suggested it be done like this, and the advice proved to be good...

Re: FAS 6007: FTF due to weak hammer spring?
How did slide return springs get into the conversation. I went back and the OP said that several bullets wouldn’t fire not that they failed to load. If the hammer spring is changed your problem of rounds not firing will go away. It is a daunting task disassembling the trigger box however it transfor...

Re: FAS 6007: FTF due to weak hammer spring?
Had the same problem with my 602….change the hammer spring and forget the rest.
I think I used a Wolff s@w hammer return spring…about 15 lbs or more.
Spring length should be 31 mm.

Re: Mg2
Hello GWhite and others having trouble with their MG2’s. I found after exhaustive testing as GWhite is going through that every MG2 I had owned worked flawlessly when I replaced the standard RF minimalist slide with one from the original standard MG2 pistols. They were much heavier and allowed my pi...

Re: Mg2
As GWhite has mentioned there is a learning curve of do’ and don’ts that makes ownership of the MG2 more tolerable. But in nearly all cases it results in a “ love hate “ relationship in which you have to live with the inner demon telling you that it may malfunction on the next shot. I have owned fiv...

Re: GSP500
GSP was reliable if nothing else. It had terrible, front heavy and ungainly balance and a rear sight blade to be laughed at.
However as the previous message has mentioned, if reliability is ongoing and all the other design issues have been addressed I will be one of the early owners.

Re: Mg2
The magazines are carbon fiber, and because they are tubular and sit forward of the breech, they don't get very dirty. I don't recall cleaning mine more than once, and I've never had a malfunction attributable to the magazines. The MG2's have their quirks, but the magazines aren't a big deal. One i...

It appears that they are continuing GSP500 support only and may/have ceased production of the SSP and GSP Expert.

I just left Walther site and the SSP as well as the old GSP are both missing. Does this mean that the SSP has been discontinued ?

I have good results by cleaning with Shellite , rubbing down with 0000 steel wool and finishing with Danish oil and rubbing back between coats with 2000 grit wet and dry paper.
