Good to know. Thanks.

BTW do them make a version of the Unity 1 w/ adjustable sights as well? It's not clear from their website whether the Unit 1 is available w/ the same sight option as the Unit 2.

So what's the recommendation for a match grade conversion unit that's currently available. I'm less concerned w/ the slide locking back, more so its accuracy and reliability.

Is anyone else tuning these, besides Bob Marvel?

Thanks Tuj.

So you're using the cartridge? I'm thinking of getting the other unit they have that fits into the barrel - the one that flares at the end like a trumpet bell. Apparently it's sound activated. There's a mic in the tip.

.. just to add the the recommendations for Colt gunsmiths, in case anyone references this thread in the future, Cylinder & Slide (i.e. Bill Laughridge) works on Colt revolvers as well. They'd fixed the timing and tuned up an old Colt Officers Model Special of mine, and did a very nice job.

Good to know.
The resolution isn't super high in terms of where you shoot ..
I've read that they use 62 sensors, which suggests an 8x8 grid from which two are removed. Can you get a dead center bullseye or is it always offset a bit?

Anyone tried the Laserlyte LTS Target System?

Has anyone tried that photosensor based target system by laserlyte? - i.e. http://www.laserlyte.com/products/lts-target From the reviews that I've read, it does work effectively, but I'm wondering what range of light conditions are suitable. Their video shows the unit being used in a rather dimly li...

Unusual DR revolver in B/S/T

I'm selling a Colt Officers Model Special in 38spl on TT's b/s/t forum that you guys might be interested in.

The OMS is eligible for DR matches. I don't know of any other dedicated match revolvers that are DR legal.

Is it possible that the hollow grip is simply conducting sound? - with the mag in, the sound is muffled. You mention that there is still some sound w/ the mag in.

If you want to buy one, my advice is to look around locally first. Prices for 35's have really shot up over the past year or two. But you used to be able to find them for four or five hundred dollars. And I still see them sold for these prices through the clubs that I shoot at locally. It's when the...

You can't buy a new IZH-35 at retail. They haven't been imported to the US for a while now. I'd guess that one that is as-new in its box w/ all the doo-dads would be in the neighborhood of 900, maybe even $1000. They seem to fetch prices in the mid 600's, used, in decent condition w/ at least 2 mags...

The 97B is probably a good candidate to experiment with. These seem to have very decent accuracy right out of the box.

Rumor has it that there's 97 Sport available, as a semi-custom production pistol, which is intended as a match grade 45. But I've never seen one, and don't know much about them.

I think that the attached file is what you're looking for.

This may be the article Daryl Szarenski that's often mentioned, but it's not signed so I'm not sure of who'd written it.

There are a bunch of Model 14's for sale through Bullseye-L

I thought that people here might be interested in this sale. Someone is selling a bunch of Model 14's that belonged to a Law Enforcement Explorer Group through Bullseye-L. I don't know the seller, but I've seen his posts to Bullseye-L before. He provides his contact info in the post I've linked belo...

Try contacting Larry Carter at Larry's Guns - http://www.larrysguns.com/

He carries parts, and services the Trailside. He's also importing the Euro version, the Xesse.

You may just need a new spring.
