The boxes work by having 2 depths with springs to push the bottom plate up for the shallow "remove" depth.. The deep depth is exactly one pellet length and about half for the up position. I can't imagine you could build one for the price of a new one but I'd like to see your design if you ...

Off-hand shooting is about balance. Wobble boards aren't the only way but are a great way to improve balance. They should be part of every serious shooters training gear and part of their match warm-up.

I think I got a response on CMP Responsiveness. For the first time in three years, I didn't get invited back to coach at the NJROTC camp they put on in June and for the first time in three years, I didn't get assigned to a camp as a Master Instructor in their Camp program. I guess that means that yo...

Sorry but anyone who thinks 35-45 shots is enough for a 3P match needs more digits to count with. ( Even a 3x10) I'm glad it isn't in production yet so there is time to change it.

CMP Responsiveness

A semi-survey, semi-gripe. Are there others out there who have trouble reaching people at the CMP or getting responses to voice mails. When I do reach someone and am not satisfied with answers, I find there is no recourse. None will transfer you to Gary and his number apparently can't be reached dir...

N0, it doesn't and my Anschutz 2002 manual didn't include the same warning.
I use them on my other 23 team air rifles, occasionally with a little solvent soaked in.

Only a rifle but my Anschutz 9003 manual says not to use them.

Kneeling

I can't be sure from the side but it looks like you are shooting more " across" the position than " out" of the position. This puts very little body mass behind the rifle and makes consistent recoil very difficult with anything but an air rifle. Try rotating counter- clockwise wi...

MPR

Hi,
The Daisy XS-40 is no longer for sale but is the exact rifle as the Air Arms MPR that goes for $975. If you can find some for $370, buy them up and give me the source so I can get some too.

Air Arms MPR

Hi, We have been using five Daisy XS-40's for about four years. It is essentially the same rifle as the MPR. We have also being using five Air Arms T200's which is the same action, barrel etc. for a year. We use them only for sporter competition and are pleased with them. My best shooter shoots in t...

Backstop

Hi,

Hang an old throw rug behind the target. leaving the bottom loose. Medieval armies used the method to stop longbow arrows so I'm sure it will work for pellets.

Balance Boards

Hi, I'm not too handy but I make a set by starting with an 8 inch wide board. I cut off two lengths a little bigger than the biggest footed kid . Then I cut a two inch slice from each side. Then, I use a skill saw to cut those 2" slices into a half moon shape. I glue the two half moons together...

Training Drills

Hi, A few for standing: Can't do up and downs so with side to side targets, I have them alternate from one bull to the equivalent bull on the other target to train on NPA. Another is to alternate standing shots with one shot supported on the off-hand stand and the next un-supported. Then they descri...

New airgun rules

It would be great if Council explained reason for rules. eg if weight can be added, why only to barrel and internally ? Why grandfather XS40 then require centered buttplate ? If our organizations are really represented on the Council, why does no one talk to coaches before voting on changes. My gues...
