More steady is a relative thing . How steady are you in the first place ?

We all shoot through movement.

Rover ; the second movement.

Re: Coaching Corner

Align the sights and don't mess it up with the trigger. This is probably the secret to scoring well. Unlike computers our brains cannot 'multitask' . We cannot truly concentrate on two things at once. One always has precedence. Keeping concentration on the sights not straying and the grip remaining...

. I should stop looking at the shots though because the mistakes with the Morini feel frustrating and demoralizing [/i] Mistakes are part of the shooting discipline . Only the Ransom Rest is infallible . The whole object to most of us , is to try and try again to avoid mistakes... The perfectly exe...

Re: First time using Scatt

Having used a Noptel system to coach students for years, an electronic trainer is very likely to do just what you ask. Having confidence in your hold is much easier to achieve when you can see it time & again on the screen. Seeing the pistol lurching off in some direction at the last minute wil...

Re: First time using Scatt

. Why SCATT ? ... Dry fire on a target will teach you all you want to know . I totally disagree. Scatt gives you impirical evidence of the results of your training and any technique or equipment changes. All that dry firing on a target will give you is the impression that it"s "a bit bett...

But I concede , there is a definite pleasure in playing with expensive sophisticated 'toys' .

Re: I'm sorry your new air pistol is a piece of crap

Roper misses the point. Nice new Steyrs , Morinis and Walthers aren't just for shooting high scores . To own a beautiful well built piece of high tech is an end in itself. If you shoot for competition increase the odds to your favour with a modern decent pistol , a pistol with little or no perceived...

Re: Walther LP500!?

Mine arrives on Friday. VERY excited!! (and this is the only place I can express this and have people understand). I held one at WAG and fell in love with it. Make sure it's love and not merely a passing infatuation ! I have been infatuated with nearly every AP I handled. How can one not be , they ...

Re: Which has a better trigger ?

It is that simple. Choose the model you like best. All the current top models are being used by someone who is shooting very respectable scores. Pick one. Adjustability is nice, usually. But once you adjust it, you would typically leave is alone. . My opinion, set the darn thing so it fits and poin...

Re: Which has a better trigger ?

I'm thinking of getting a new air pistol. Which has a better trigger ? Morini's CM 162 electric trigger or Pardini"s K12 mechanical trigger. I have never had the opportunity to shoot a pistol with an electric trigger. The experts ( on here , and they are few ) are of the opinion that the only ...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NjSTJeC7ynw Remember, you saw it here first. Best thing about this model , and other new ones just out , is that you have this good feeling that once you own one of those your scores will shoot up . This feel-good effect will probably last until your new purchase arr...

Re: The big "Show your airpistol"-Topic

Feinwerkbau made the CO2 variant with a 'bottle' in front of the trigger guard presumably to bring the pistol's center of gravity to the rear . The C02 FWBs were solid steel it seems and quite heavy compared to the newer APs of today . If you were a good shot , you could get respectable scores with ...

Hi everybody, I am right before buying new (my first one) air pistol. Since now I am shooting Sport pistol. I have 3 favorites....Steyr LP2,EVO X or Morini 162. I would like to ask you, if somebody can compare these in accuracy point of view. I thing I can shoot somewhere about 550 points for now. ...

Re: Should I leave cylinder intact after practice?

I machine a spacer from nylon rod and place it between the cylinder and frame when not in use. Then the cylinder can be tightened on the gun to prevent thread movement as well as not allowing air pressure to be applied to the regulator. I use a little spacer plate, too. Don't know if it gives the r...

It's easy to score a ten it is doing the exact same thing under pressure 60 times that is the problem.
Under pressure , or even , no pressure .

The pleasure is in the masochistic attempts at a theoretical possibility . The feeling that one is sure to do better next session !
