Lane, I think your choice of the Kowa is fine. Based on my personal experience, I would not go any stronger than the 25X eyepiece, however, because you lose too much light. Look up the term "relative brightness" if you are not familiar with it. Your 66mm scope with the 25X eyepiece has a r...

Lane, If I'm not too late, what do you intend to use the scope for, i.e. air pistol at 10m or high power rifle at 300m? That can make a big difference in your decision. In general, I do not believe in skimping on optics. A quality scope will last your lifetime and hold its resale value. IMO buy the ...

I believe 4.50 is the nominal head size for .177 pellets. I looked at some empty tins from when I purchased pellets from AOA (four different brands) and they were all marked 4.50.

I have never used either service, so please don't flame the messenger, but I think Google Checkout offers similar convenience. See: https://www.google.com/accounts/ServiceLogin?service=sierra&continue=https%3A%2F%2Fcheckout.google.com%2F%3Fgsessionid%3DKoENktOVNfY%26upgrade%3Dtrue&hl=en_US&a...

Simon, There is no "best" position for any of the adjustments on your LP-10; it all depends on what works best for you. My advice is to keep it simple while you are starting out and not do too much experimenting with all the different adjustment screws. Regarding the fore/aft sight positio...

What about DPMS? http://www.dpmsinc.com/ They have several interesting calibers in the AR platform such as 6.5 Creedmoor and 260 Remington. Both are 6.5mm rounds which have a very high ballistic coefficient-good for long range. When I shot high power, there was nobody in the AR game except Colt. Now...

Dan, In my opinion, only two types of shooters worry about pellet size: new shooters and world class shooters. Unless you are in the latter group, don't waste your time and money because you will not see any difference. Just shoot good quality pellets of nominal 4.50 size (or whatever) and have fun....

Dogchaser,
I don't see why you need a washer. Just unscrew the cylinder until you hear the air leak out and you are done. Or unscrew the cylinder completely if you prefer.

Luke,
FWIW, I believe that the Steyr and Anschitz grips are interchangeable. I ordered an after market grip from Rink-Formgriffe for my Anschutz and it is listed together with the LP-10 as the same.

I bought the Rink 7 degree grip for my Anschutz LP@ Junior because I needed the additional yaw adjustment and I am very satisfied with my purchase. If you think you need the extra 7 degrees angle, more or less, go for it. The standard Steyr grip adjustments still work, but offset by 7 degrees to the...

Your finger angle seems very normal to me. I checked my hand placement on my Anschutz air pistol, my High Standard Victor .22, and my Colt 1911, and it was the same as you describe. Further, there is nothing I can do to change my hand position-that's how I am built and the guns are built.

Stu, Assuming equal quality barrels, the intrinsic accuracy of a short and long barrel should be the same. A long barrel will provide a higher velocity due to the longer bore time, although for 10m air pistol I believe that is insignificant. A long barrel usually has a longer sight radius which shou...

Alex, I think what you are experiencing is entirely normal, as unnerving as that may be. I am 65 and am not as steady as I was 20 years ago. It's part of getting old; muscle tone, fine motor control, and vision degrade. Older golfers get a similar affliction that is called the yips. You may be able ...
