Shooting glasses and the not round dot

Has anyone tried those adjustable focus eye glasses to cure the "not round" red dot problem? Yes, I have Rx glasses, yes I have Rx shooting glasses. Yes I have tried all reasonable diopters of shooting glasses; .25, .5 and .75 but, they only come in 1/4 increments. I think I may need a str...

Re: What ammo, available in US, is recommended for Sp22 New?

Hello Tangohammerli, In general the best ammo for the SP22 is any match grade such as Lapua, Eley, Etc. Anything standard velocity will work as well. There are some issues with CCI because some bullets are too long to fit in the magazine. Best regards, Christian McAfee Pardini USA LLC info@pardinig...

Re: Pardini SP new, need part dimension

Greetings, The Pardini's I have encountered have the "normal" M5x0.8 thread. Look at your M5x0.9 tap again. Does it actually say 0.5? I could not find a M5x0.9 tap. The threads of the 0.5 tap will be finer than the 0.8 tap. Also, check to see if the round tapped piece in the frame is not ...

Re: Pardini SP new, need part dimension

The standard pitch of m5 is 0.8 mm. If your tap is not marked with anything else, it is a standard pitch. Pardini uses the standard pitch. In my 30 years as a mechanic of any sort, I do not think l have ever seen a m5 screw that wasn't standard. Therefore, l think you have the right tap. If you hav...

Re: Pardini SP new, need part dimension

Greetings, Took the screw out of the Pardini grip I have in the shop. M5 x 35mm https://www.mcmaster.com/#91290a256/=17ig50q Bear in mind that it is possible they use different length screws based on the grip size. I ran into this issue with a Steyr air pistol. Cheers, Dave interesting, I don't thi...

Re: Pardini SP new, need part dimension

So my solution is to order the bolt and a new receptacle and the tiny location spring (odds of losing one is high). You can substitute that little spring with a piece of rubber (cut up an old O ring), does the samehe job and doesn't fly out when disassembled. It's only there to provide friction to ...

Re: Pardini SP new, need part dimension

sorry to offend you - however you mentioned the possibility of nipping down to the hardware store for a $0.50 buy instead of a Pardini part plus postage so I played on that thought. The screw is threaded to the head and my guess is that this is a common screw. Anyway tried to help - sorry it didn't...

Re: Pardini SP new, need part dimension

Oh dear - don't know what to say... (this is not my area of expertise).. However.... nip down to Home depot and buy an M4 and M5 machine screw 30mm long and one should fit. Take the other back for a $0.50 refund (if the gas is worth it) and then let us know which one fits..... Deal? the facile answ...

Re: Red dot

Get a hatchet! BTW Clarence, that "tail" you see coming off your dot means (gasp!) astigmatism. Try a new scrip for your glasses. good luck. I'm ten different eye glass prescriptions and never have gotten back to the round dot. I think it's because they can only grind lenses to the neares...

Re: Pardini SP new, need part dimension

I have made my own grips to all my pardinis so l can no longer tell you the length of the screw. But l can tell you it is not threaded all the way to the head, and it is metric. It is NOT 4mm. It is 5mm. I think you are right on the 5 mm. I have two 5 mm taps and neither one wants to thread into th...

Re: Pardini SP Bullseye Edition ammo choice

Xeye, Remove and inspect your shock buffer for cracks or chips missing. The shock buff material can break off and fall into the trigger group potentially causing malfunctions like you describe. I replaced the shock buffer, recoil spring, extractor, extractor spring used different mags and different...

Re: 1975 Victor wont chamber CCI SV ammo. Thoughts?

Have a Pristine 1975 Victor that doesn't like CCI SV ammo. No dry-fire ding, and the pistol might have a few boxes of ammo through it. Brand new Wolff spring kit and all springs replaced. (5.5 lb. recoil spring) Bought the $32 HS Mag tool and adjusted all mags perfectly. Chamber was cleaned well &a...

Re: Pardini SP Bullseye Edition ammo choice

I recently tried out CCI standard on my Pardini SP Bullseye but it fails to cycle. My Pardini is the convversion type (with .32 and also red-dot as an option). I find it hard to believe because CCI is one of the most popular .22lr ammo in the USA. I thought maybe it has something to do with US vs E...

Pardini SP new, need part dimension

I am red faced to admit it but, the grip retaining screw is missing from my Pardini SP New. It must have fallen out and the grip was so tight to the frame I didn't notice. I am pretty sure this is just a metric allen head screw but what size? I need the shank size and most importantly the length fro...

Re: Swaging 22 Chamber , how?

The average .22 bolt face is counter bored approx. .290 diameter and average depth/headspace would be mid to high .040's..to accept the cartridge rim.. If the bolt face is peening over the chamber face, which would be in the low .220's in diameter, there is something wrong.. I have a Nygord Pardini...

OK, so if it's not the FP that leaves only the bolt? And how does one correct the bolt problem?

I can't see where it does. Pushing on the pin on the back of the bolt and looking at fp extension does not seem to be enough to touch the face.

also my chamber measures less than another poster's dimensions he supplied.

Re: Swaging 22 Chamber , how?

Why did you need to do it three times? In the words of every machinist I have ever known..."...I can take more off, but I can't put it back." It was a learning experience. I went slow and saw modest improvement which, encouraged me. I slowly built up the aggression. I now conclude that th...
