For whatever it's worth - I just asked EAA - the original US importers of the IZH35 if they have any plans to import the Baikal MP-438 (in to the USA). Not surprisingly, the answer was no.

There are better 22 pistols and there are cheaper 22 pistols but the bottom line is you can't beat the Ruger for what you get. Just add a Volquartsen trigger and the Volquartsen grip and they are ready for me. MKIII with VQ grip and trigger. Honestly, the VQ trigger isn't that great. But it's a che...

For whatever it's worth, I owned an Aeron Chameleon CO2 single shot air pistol - which is somewhat similar to the Alfa - prior to a recent purchase a used Pardini K58 single stroke pneumatic AP (for under $500) - and I can without hesitation say the Pardini K58 is in a completely different class.
