Published on Mar 11, 2013 FAS - Domino has long time been a well established name in the field of high-end sporting airguns, used by competitive shooters up to an olympic levels. An agreement recently intervened between the original company and the KIMAR Group, another Italian gun manufacturing cor...

Re: FAS to be manufactured by Chiappa!

Quite by chance I found this video which was posted on YouTube recently. The indication is that Chiappa appear to have purchased the manufacturing rights to FAS pistols. Hopefully this will also mean better distribution. My fingers are crossed that they can pull this off and make it a commercial an...

If anyone is curious, I just noticed that Baikal is now listing the MP-438 on their web page. I don't believe they were 6 months ago when the thread was last active. Now if someone in the USA will start carrying it! http://imzcorp.com/en/company/318.html http://imzcorp.com/res_en/0_value_45254_207.j...

Joe, thank you for the image. Seems to me the Russkies have done little to change the pistol and very little to improve it. Improving the feed angle & mechanics can only make it better - small plus. Dedicated weights are nice - small plus. I never took down an Izh35 to the point of the rear sig...

The thing I enjoy about being a "smartass" is that everyone knows what to call me. I'm going to give you some good advice on your air pistol purchase. Take it or leave it. There is no way that a guy who (probably) has never shot a match in competition needs an air pistol that costs $2-3 t...

Recommend ignoring Tycho given your interest in a new or newer model air pistol. Granted, if you were looking for a used older model - then yes - reviewing older threads is certainly relevant and Tycho is correct. However, air pistol (AP) manufacturers clearly have come out with quite a few new and ...

I think the thread needs at least one image. Not that we'll ever be able to buy the MP-438 in the USA. But at least we can look at a picture of it.

For whatever it's worth - I just asked EAA - the original US importers of the IZH35 if they have any plans to import the Baikal MP-438 (in to the USA). Not surprisingly, the answer was no.

There are better 22 pistols and there are cheaper 22 pistols but the bottom line is you can't beat the Ruger for what you get. Just add a Volquartsen trigger and the Volquartsen grip and they are ready for me. MKIII with VQ grip and trigger. Honestly, the VQ trigger isn't that great. But it's a che...

The Aeron is long gone and was replaced with the Pardini K58. I'm now thinking about a Steyr LP10.

Re: Steyr LP10E Promo Video

It's rare to see well produced promotional video in our sport. For that reason I enjoyed this because it is well produced. And starring Jong Oh Jin. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xLTD0Z-oIfQ Oz Well obviously, if you buy the LP10E you'll only be shooting 10's - unlike all of those 9's that my K58 ...

Don't listen to Rover. He'll talk you into a (used) Pardini K58 that you'll waste away too many hours shooting instead of buying some piece of junk cheap air pistol that you'll hate and never want to shoot :)

[I'm guessing - since it's Russian - a fair assumption is that it will be inexpensive. Otherwise, why would anyone buy it? Russian goods are no longer necessarily cheap Joe, look at Scatt. Why would anyone buy it? Because if the quality and design are to the same standard as his other guns then the...

I suspect that plenty of us would abandon our Ruger MKclunkers in a heatbeat for the SP-08 that sounds infinitely better and will likely sell for less than $1000. I'm interested where you got that price from Joe. I'm guessing - since it's Russian - a fair assumption is that it will be inexpensive. ...

Well I own both a Ruger MKIII (with Volquarten upgrades) and a Browning Buckmark Target 5.5 - and I can without hesitation say that both are lousy. Lousy triggers, lousy grips, lousy balance, and lousy adjustability. Although both are very accurate. I should have looked a little harder for a 'real' ...

For whatever it's worth, I owned an Aeron Chameleon CO2 single shot air pistol - which is somewhat similar to the Alfa - prior to a recent purchase a used Pardini K58 single stroke pneumatic AP (for under $500) - and I can without hesitation say the Pardini K58 is in a completely different class.
