Re: Crosman Challenger 2009 Question.

Thanks!

That works out perfectly. I actually have a set of the sites from an old 753!

I'll just use them!

Thanks,

John

Crosman Challenger 2009 Question.

Hi all,

I have a chance to buy a Crosman Challenger 2009 at a really nice price, but it comes with no diopter/peep sights.

Does anyone know the following:

1) Where can these be ordered from?

2) Are the Daisy Avanti 753 sights similar? I have some of these.

Thank you!

Jeff,

Do you have an email address I could email you at?

I have a shooting question that is off the topic of this thread.

Thanks,

Not to go on forever but...

We have:

3 dogs
1 cat
2 goats (one of which is pregnant)
And a soon to be pony or donkey

Yep, might as well join 4-H...!

AAAAHHH! Please don't remind me!

My daughter wants either a Pony or a Donkey!

And she's already saved up half the money!

Guess who pays the other half?

Yeah, out of my air gun fund! ; )

Yeah, as I had feared! Such a giant gap between something like the 887 and the FWB 700's.

It's painful really...

Hey, thanks for the great advice all around!

jhmartin, Well, my 753 is a bit old (quite), and it wouldn't make me sad not to cock the gun anymore. Maybe a new 887 would be a nice upgrade? Is there any reason other then just the CO2? If not I'd better keep holding out... ; ) The tough thing is that from my vantage point, they only real step up ...

jhmartin, You know, I was kind of going in the direction of a 887, but I think I'll just keep practicing with my 753. It doesn't sound like the 887 would be any kind of real upgrade. Maybe what I'll do is save up for a used, higher end match rifle that still has a self-contained power plant. I reall...

Sorry to all if I'm hijacking the thread but...

Jim,

I asked another question about 853 vs 888 and it's discharge noise. Can you answer that thread for me? You'd probably know the answer.

Daisy 853 vs 888 discharge noise?

Daisy owners,

Could somebody who owns both of these guns tell me if there is a difference in the discharge noise of the 853 versus the 888?

Thanks,

Just my 2 cents. Please nobody flame me over these views. But I live out in the country in the US and out here most people have a fair amount of land or at least know someone who does. Many of these people are avid hunters or enjoy the other shooting sports more, specifically with bigger caliber gun...

JMorrison, Well, I am suitably impressed! Those are great scores, with what many would consider, a "starter" gun! You are obviously an excellent shot! Yes, I am right there with you, I shoot the 753 in my basement and want to switch to the 887 (apparently the 753 stock but in CO2). However...

Hey big52, how ya doing? Well I had a Avanti 853 a while back, and although it as a really nice gun, two things kind of ruined it for me. There were some plastic/composite parts (more on that later) and it was a bit too small for me. I am 6' 200 pounds. It did come with butt spacers to make it longe...

Help me I am dense - what is the difference?

Hello, I'm sorry, but I really tried to search, etc. and even went to the CMP and NRA websites. Am I correct in saying the following? "Sporter shooting" is for youths. Adults don't participate. "10m Precision" is for youths and adults. Thank you, and I know this information is ou...

Correct Posture Tips?

Hello,

I am very "green" and really need some instruction on the appropriate posture for 10m air rifle.

Are there any pictures/drawings on the web of the "correct" form?

I would really appreciate it.

About to buy the Daisy Avanti 887... Questions please...

Group, I own and really like the Daisy Avanti 753. I am an averaged size adult man. But, my 753 was second hand and is a bit beat up, but more importantly, I no longer desire to cock a gun, I want to switch to some form of air. I am only a week or so from buying a Daisy 887 from my local gun shop. T...
